Hi,
I tried to get this tool to work on linux using wine.
So far I copied all required ddl's an ocx files.
The tool seems to start up nice (I can see the main window and all buttons are working).
But at the moment I try to connect to the dreambox it complains that no tool for connecting to the dreambox is configured.
I had a look at the ini file but there is no such parameter so I think that is hardcoded.
Can anyone help me please to get this work?
Thanks in advance

This is the first time i hear from wine.
Try to install the beta 1.8 (full install) on a windows pc.
You will find all the dll's and ocx's in the app. dir.
Maybe you did this already.
Then you can try the files from system files. You find them in the upload.

Thanks for the reply, but like I said.
I already copied all required files and the tool is started succesfully (I installed 1.8 full an overcopied 1.8g executable)
The problem I face now is probably hardcoded as mentioned in the first post.
I'm afraid only one of the developers can answer is.....

Ok, again.
All required dlls are available, gboxsc is started proberly, the window is popping up and all buttons are working.
But then, when I try to connect to the dreambox it refuses that and I get the error:
" Can't login
Application-defined or object-defined error"
btw, my system doesn't support chinese characters

The "Can't login" message means there is something wrong with the login.
Check your user login, password and portnumber for FTP.
These settings are under the button "More" (left under screen).
Try to re-type the password (is maybe wrong).
Did you try GSC on a windows PC?

Did you fill in the correct path (Gbox-Path)?
If it's a dreambox 7000: /var/bin/gbox
After the login the program go's to that dir.

yes all settings are ok like I explained.
This is just because I'm running it using wine and I need someone who can debug this in the sourcecode....

Can you give wine? or a download so i can try it.

I can't give it to you since you need to download the packages that suits your linux distro (so for example, you need the .deb if it's debian/ubuntu based or .rpm if it's redhat/suse based).
Just check your distro's packagemanager

cwshare works fine with wine,
